DIY Whipped Foot Cream

Pamper those piggies!!  It’s summer time and they need some tender loving care!  When wearing those cute new shoes, make sure that people are looking at the shoes and not your unsightly feet!  I found this recipe on the doTERRA blog and thought I would share.

You’ll need:

1 teaspoon beeswax

2 tablespoons cocoa butter

4 tablespoons shea butter

1 tablespoon coconut oil

10 drops essential oilBLOG

1.  Melt down the ingredients in a glass bowl in a pan with 2 inches water, over medium heat.BLOG 1

2.  Once melted, remove from heat.  Let it cool until it firms.  You can speed up this process by putting in the fridge.BLOG 2

BLOG 33.  With an electric mixer, whip until mixture is slightly combined.

4.  Add essential oil and gradually come to high speed and whip for 2-3 minutes, or until light and fluffy.BLOG 4

5.  Transfer to a glass container.

Apply to feet before bed (applying socks will help keep the oil on your feet!).

I have chosen the Massage Blend as my oil for this batch.  This oil relaxes muscles and soothes joints.  You may be thinking that would be nice for aching feet…You are right!  But that’s not all….reflexology shows that all points on your feet are connected to another part of the body, so by using the Massage Blend on the feet, you’re giving your WHOLE BODY a mini massage!!  This oil also promotes circulation and is calm and soothing.

Don’t limit yourself to this oil, though!  Do your research and find which oil would work best for you…
